Facilities Planning/Projects

Since the projects from the current bond were completed more than a decade ago, our buildings have been enjoyed by hundreds of students. It is once again time to consider maintenance projects and improvements to our schools.

The Athena-Weston School Board, interim superintendent, district administrators, building principals, maintenance supervisor and teachers and staff have been giving input over the past few months about our facilities.

In January 2016, three informational meetings and building tours were held at the schools. Based on input from school staff and the community, these are the KEY AREAS that were identified for bond projects:

  1. School Security & Student Safety
  2. Maintenance & Renovations
  3. Energy Savings Upgrades
