Weston McEwen High School proudly hosted a Veterans Breakfast to honor and celebrate our local veterans. The event began with Superintendent Ann Vescio welcoming attendees, followed by a performance of "Armed Forces on Parade" by the WMHS Band. During the song, each veteran stood as their branch’s anthem was played, creating a memorable and heartfelt tribute.
After the program, veterans and students shared breakfast together, fostering meaningful conversations and providing students an opportunity to learn from our veterans. Each veteran was also presented with a "Bag of Thanks," filled with heartfelt letters and drawings from students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade. These notes, many of which were delightfully creative and touching, added a special personal touch to the morning.
WMHS is incredibly grateful—not only for the service of our veterans to our country but also for their continued commitment to inspiring and supporting our youth. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event special and impactful for our community!
