Graduated from McEwen High School in 1964
While at McEwen he played football, basketball and track
He was the State Long Jump Champion in 1963 and took second place in 1964
He was ASB Treasurer and Presdient of the Thespian Club
Following high school, he attended Oregon College of Education and lettered in track for four years
He earned a Bachelor of Science and master of Science in Teaching from Eastern Oregon College
Career:
Teacher and coach at Mapleton High School and Dayville School District
Vocational Director and Principal at Scio School District
Vocational and Curriculum Director at Umatilla Morrow ESD
Helped organize, design and establish Nixyaawii Community School in Mission Oregon
Since retirement has continued to stay active as Vice President of the Frenchtown Historic Foundation and Treasurer of the Gem Theatre
