Elizabeth Hansell
Graduated form Weston-McEwen High School in 1995 with high honors
Athletic Accomplishments:
She was an outstanding athlete competing at the state level in 3 sports
All-league selection in all three sports
During her senior year helped lead the WM Volleyball team to the final eight at the state tournament
Played with the WM Basketball team that took third in state
Along with a fellow student, took the district doubles championship and competed at the state tournament in tennis
College Athletics:
She was recruited to play basketball for Whitman College
After her freshmen year she transferred to The Master's College in Southern California
During her senior year, the team made a first ever appearance in the NAIA Top 25, and with a 28-6 record entered the NAIA National Tournament
She was the first female in school history to achieve All-American honors
When she graduated, she was the college's all time female scoring leader, second in rebounds and third in assists
In 2005, she was inducted into The Master's College Hall of Fame
She played professional basketball in Australia for a year
She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she obtained a Master's Degree in Political Science and was assistant coach for the Division 1 school as a graduate assistant
