  • Graduated from McEwen High School in 1965

  • Athletic Accomplishments:

    • Excelled in multiple sports in high school lettering 15 times in 4 sports

    • His greatest moment came as the starting guard on the first basketball team in Weston or Athena History to reach the State Finals

    • All State in basketball and a member of the Shrine team in football

    • He was a 2 sport letterman at a Pac-10 University

  • Was an avid thespian

  • President of the FFA for two years

  • President of his junior class

  • Enrolled at Washington State University

    • Was a walk-on for football

    • Following his Freshman year, he earned a scholarship in football and lettered all 3 years

    • Maybe even more surprising was that he walked on to the Wrestling team -- a sport he had never even seen, let alone participated in
