"Since 2014"
Why do you believe it is important to be on the board of directors?
"I grew up in the AWSD and when we moved back to Athena I knew I wanted to be involved and give back. My kids were in elementary school when I joined the Board in 2014 and it has been a pleasure to see firsthand the opportunities our small district provides and how invested our educators are in the success of every student. Our schools are a vital part of our communities and I feel it’s important to do what I can to help! It really is a pleasure to be a small part of the success of our students and our District."
What are your favorite hobbies?
"Hobbies? I watch a lot of soccer and basketball! I do like to run and hike. I think I'll have time for more hobbies in the next few years! "
What is your day job?
"I work with an awesome team at Associated Veterinary Med. Center as their Practice Manager."
What activities were you involved in during your high school years?
"I played volleyball and basketball, was in Band and the Pipes and Drums."
What was your favorite subject in school?
"English! (Mrs. Schubuert would be so proud!)"
What is your proudest accomplishment?
"I hiked the Grand Canyon - Rim to Rim a few years ago - that was awesome! My proudest accomplishment is watching my kids learn and grow! Time does fly!"
What is one thing on your bucket list?
"hmm..Learn to cook?! ."
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
"So many things! I would love to spend a day (or more!) hiking Machu Picchu!"
What is your useless talent?
"Still hoping to discover a secret useless talent! "
