Today, several students followed protocol and reported concerns about a potential threat to school safety. The District takes all concerns about school safety seriously. Administration immediately took action to assess the possibility of a threat to our schools. Law enforcement was able to confirm that there is no direct threat to our district and that the concerns originate from a non-credible, circulating social media post with no ties to the local community. The safety of students and staff is the top priority for Athena-Weston School District. As a reminder, if you see or hear something that could pose a safety risk at school, it is critical to speak up.
