Bill grew up on a Christmas tree and raspberry farm in Mulino, Clackamas County. He is new to the Athena-Weston community, and said he is excited to become part of such a welcoming and dynamic area.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, where he studied International Affairs, Spanish, and Russian. Later he completed his Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Willamette University in Salem, with a focus on Social Studies and Spanish Education. Bill is certified to teach Social Studies, Spanish and English and is an examiner for the International Baccalaureate (IB).
In his free time, Bill loves working on renovations for his 100-plus year-old house in Joseph, hiking and backpacking in the Wallowas, cooking, and continuing his global adventures. He has had the privilege of working in 10 countries and visiting nearly 100.
