I can't believe how quickly summer went by, but I am so excited to be back in school full time. Some of you may know me as the Art teacher from last year and this year I have moved to full time and will be teaching Reading Intervention, sixth, seventh and eighth grade Art, and seventh and eighth grade Home Ec. I thought you might like to know a little more about me too!
I actually grew up in Athena and attended school in this same building when I was in Junior High and I graduated as a TigerScot. I have lived in Pendleton for the last 18 years with my husband, Chris and our five children who range in age from 12-21 years old.
I spent 9 years teaching fourth and fifth grades, substituting in the Pendleton School District for the last twelve years and I taught Art last year at Weston Middle School.
I love coming up with new Art ideas as well as cooking and my desire is to give students opportunities to try out new ideas and processes and learn along the way. I can't wait to see the creations that will be taking place in our room and I am looking forward to a great year!
